What is SIP Trunking?

SIP Trunking is a cost-effective way to provide voice and data services for businesses with an existing IP PBX. SIP Trunking combines voice and data over the same DSL, T1, or Ethernet circuit. Voice and data services share a single dynamic connection for optimal bandwidth efficiency. Key benefits of SIP Trunking include substantial cost savings over traditional PRIs, low long-distance rates, more efficient bandwidth usage, and optional advanced IP features.

Will my IP-PBX work with Beneffy?

Beneffy has guidelines to allow any SIP-capable IP PBX to connect to its network.

How will the sound quality compare to a traditional phone line?

Because signals are transmitted and received digitally through the Internet, the quality of the service should be the same or better than what you're currently getting from a traditional phone company. Please be aware that sound quality is dependent entirely upon the quality of your high speed internet service.

Can I use Asterisk/Trixbox?

Absolutely! Beneffy has extensively tested both Asterisk and Trixbox and we have customers routing millions of minutes a month using these platforms.

What about faxing?

Beneffy's network is fully T.38 compliant to support reliable fax over IP.

What new phone numbers can I get?

Beneffy offers numbers in any of the lower 48 states, regardless of where you are physically located.

Can I keep my existing phone numbers?

Yes! you can. We can easily transfer your line into our system to allow you to keep your current number or provide you with a new toll free or local number. We can also provide you with additional local numbers in other states or provinces to keep your calls local for clients..

Are all numbers portable to Beneffy service?

Fortunately, 95% of all areas within the U.S. are covered. If your number is not able to be ported due to coverage, you will know instantly when speaking with one of our employees.

Will this service save me money?

Our state of the art virtual pbx uses the internet’s technology to route calls and provide incredibly sophisticated services previously only possible with huge pbx systems or live phone operators. Our award winning system packs all these features into a simple monthly plan and can be set up in minutes. You don’t need special expensive phones or software as we route everything seamlessly through our system.

I need both internet and phone, does Beneffy provide both services?

Beneffy only provides Voice Over Internet Protocol telephone service. Internet service would have to be obtained from an Internet Service Provider like a DSL or Cable company.

Do I get an invoice?

You will get you invoices by email.

Can I have multiple phone and fax numbers for my account?

Yes, you can add multiple toll-free and local numbers to your account. In addition, you have the flexibility to set up direct-dial numbers for individual extensions and configure them to answer as fax only, voice only, or voice/fax (auto-detect) calls.

Can I Try the Service Without Committing?

Yes, we do offer monthly plans with no contract and no cancellation fee! If you do not wish to transfer your current telephone number to Beneffy VoIP Network to try out the service, we can also provide you with a new local telephone number. Note: If you select a New telephone number and then later wish to transfer your current telephone number to Beneffy, there is a $15 number change fee that is applied when the phone number is changed.

Can I pick my own phone number

Absolutely. We have various phone numbers in our inventory from different states as well as international phone numbers.

Can I create my own personal greeting?

Yes, you can record your own personal greeting and setup it for permanent or temporary use.

How long does it take to get my server set up?

Once we receive payment for your service, the setup will begin automatically. Depending on you choice - for example if you wish to use your old phone number it can take a little bit longer
